This journal is semi-friends only.

This means half the posts are friends only, and half are public. If you want to see all, you're going to have to be my friend. If I add you or not is my own thing. If you don't have Livejournal, then you won't see it. Simple.

Skyrim and media idea [07 Dec 2011|09:33pm]
Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim

Unless you've been living under a rock, in which case you're probably dead or something not human, you've probably heard of this game.

I didn't take the time to check but I may have mentioned in a previous post that I purchased this game the night of release and installed it on my computer and fell in love with it. If not, there you have it.

On my PC, this game is mind blowing. Beautiful visuals, simple game play, and exciting adventures make up the bulk of this title. I so definitely got my money's worth. Because I would not like to depress myself, I will not be posting the number of hours I've spent playing it but rest assured, they are many.

And on a creative note, while at work recently, I've been coming up with a neat idea for a book. I think I originally started thinking the idea up because I briefly considered doing a comic book but I don't think a comic or graphic novel is the appropriate medium. But honestly the biggest problem would have to be that I don't really write all that well. Be it a script or a novel, I don't think I really have the ability to turn this idea into something material.

I do however have the ability to document it and document it I shall do.

The most amazing thing about Google+ is that the refresh rate is so quick, you can post a comment and someone else could post a reply to that comment and so on, you can have an actual back and forth conversation. That said, internet arguments refresh just as fast. :)

Happy Rapture Day! [22 May 2011|01:09am]
Here I am at the end of a long day full of Rapture. That's right, today was Rapture day and I'm here! This means that I've not gotten into Heaven and instead I'll be consumed in fiery brimstone.

I want to believe that the church sermon tomorrow will be kinda awkward or there will be some, "Hey sorry, false Rapture. When's the next one again?"

There have to be people out there who kinda just shut their lives down because they knew they would be taken.

Truth be told, even though I mock them, I feel kinda sad for them. Faith is a powerful thing and whether they went willingly or were tricked into that way of thinking, it can blind someone pretty severely.

Oh well.

Other than that, my aunt didn't show up to give me my operating system today. Instead she texted me at the end of the day and said that her hike had taken longer than anticipated so we should meet tomorrow. Fine by me. We get to go out to coffee and chat instead of just passing a disc and saying howdy.

I'm so excited for my new computer. My new rig!

Late night memory lane. [20 May 2011|03:00am]
I was skipping through forums of all sorts and I found two that were very near and dear to me.

I Follow Rivers (Dave Sitek Remix) by Lykke Li [22 Feb 2011|11:35pm]
Had to post this. I'm getting pretty into this song since they started playing it on Area 54. I'm not too familiar with Lykke Li's stuff but this new song is pretty catchy.

This is a remix but the original song is pretty close to this actually. Both are good. I'm totally into this right now.

Fruit Cereal [22 Feb 2011|05:34pm]
HEY! Have you ever heard of fruit salad? Pieces of chopped fruit are mixed together with a little citrus to keep some nice non brown color. You know that?

Step the fuck aside.

I've found a new favorite. Fruit Cereal. Honestly I hate most real cereals. They're overly fake sweet and they are in no way appetizing in the morning for me.

I was feeling a bit sick two mornings ago because I didn't eat a little snack before bed and I decided, what's light and cool? Fruit! Eating something light and cool in the morning on a sick stomach makes it possible for me to eat.

I chopped some strawberries, grapes, and bananas, and put them into a bowl. I then poured a bit of heavy whipping cream, not a lot but some, and then some 1% milk into the bowl. Maybe two parts milk to one part cream? It's heavy and the flavor shows.

MAN. I've found a new favorite. Seriously, best cereal ever. I can't wait until it actually gets hot because I will love this shit that much more.

I suppose you can put any fruit you want in there. I think some people might think that milk/cream doesn't go with fruit. You know what I say to them? Ice cream.

There was a pretty horrible set of earthquakes in New Zealand just this morning. My super good buddy luckily doesn't live were they happened but I was pretty scared when I saw that.

Nothing terrifies me more than natural disasters. Nothing. I know what could happen if some of them were to hit and it always kinda strikes me randomly.

I hope the best for the New Zealanders weren't killed in the earthquakes.

@ My Neighbors [20 Feb 2011|12:58pm]
Hey guys, what's up? I know we haven't met.. or even passed each other in the hallway. For all you guys know, my boyfriend and I are probably one quiet, old man.

This is not the case! We are not deaf. We have semi normal sleep hours.

This means that at 11 am on a Sunday, one of us are probably home! Enjoying the day before life pulls us out of the house!

Some 11 am activities we might want to consider a no no might be, um, having crazy monkey sex. Just a thought.

I greatly appreciate that you were probably aware that I was just kinda laying in bed, being lazy, enjoying the warm covers and thinking about the latest edition to Diablo that will soon grace my computer, and you probably were encouraging me to seize the day and get out of bed!

Valiant effort. Really, I'm touched.

But you know what? Why can't you guys build things instead of getting those bodies of yours excited to have babies? It's cruel to me and it's cruel to your unborn children.

Sincerely,

That ghost on the other side of your bedroom wall.

By far, this is the best play list to fish sagefish to. It's got a great beat and it flows.

Korallreven – Honey Mine(ft Victoria Bergsman)
Pretty Lights – Gazing At The Glare – Glowing In The Darkest Night
Kleerup – Longing for Lullabies (Joakim Remix)
Keenhouse – Civic Transit (Anoraak LAX Remix)

Thank you muchly Area54.

I've manage to gather all those songs except Honey Mine. It will be mine oh mine quite soon.

So much damn music, you'd throw up too... I didn't though. [08 Nov 2010|12:32am]
I'd say that without a doubt, today was made great by new music.

Sure I had dim sum and sure I didn't have to work. Music. Music made it all seem insignificant.

She's a Superstar (feat. Chromeo) by Aeroplane
Norway by Beach House
Here Sometimes by Blonde Redhead
Oslo by Blonde Redhead
Three Legged Dog by Firewater
Never Tear Us Apart by INXS
Go Down by Kompis
Girls by The Prodigy
I Wanna Know by Röyksopp
This Space by Röyksopp
Malangen Fra Bruhodet by RYXP
... Even Though You're With Another Girl by Trentemøller
Rocket by Ursula 1000

And the White Light album by Groove Armada

That's certainly a lot of music that I've acquired today.

Other than that, I kinda had a disagreement and then I ate Thai Curry for dinner.

Isn't my only day off for the next 4 days supposed to be more relaxing?.. besides the music of course. >.>

funny story [29 Oct 2010|04:28pm]
So I got a call to go open the fitting room.

I walk over and there's a lady with a newborn and a small boy. She asked me if it was ok to use the fitting room so she could breast feed her baby and I said it was fine so I opened it up and allowed the lady and her little boy to go in.

I saw that she had forgotten her hand basket so I picked it up and put it just inside the fitting room while she sat on the bench with her baby, her boy sitting next to her.

While they were seating themselves, the lady said offhandedly, "now she can eat."

And the boy cheers beside her happily, "now I can eat too!"

Lololol

I now looked at the boy and he was holding a corndog.

I'm into another 40 hour week.

Things have started off pretty decently so there isn't really anything to complain about unless I get nit-picky.

On the WoW side of things, I've been getting back into pvp. I haven't decided on a main spec for my main so I've been healing disc in pvp on her since the patch.

Not a huge difference. They took away my Desperate Prayer as a discipline priest which is crappy but they gave me Power Word: Barrier. Gonna take some time to getting used to for sure.

It's very enjoyable to pvp with other people though. I can't stress enough though. By far, my favorite partner to pvp with is a good Warlock.

But anyway, I'm off to work. Hopefully next time I write, it will be about the tea party I'll be attending this Saturday.

This video is neat/awesome/gross. lol Good music for sure.

HI LIVEJOURNAL. LOOK AT THIS BALLIN' TWO CONSECUTIVE ENTRIES.

I do have a confession to make though. I was forced to be here by the lack of Whuddleworld.

Most of the time, I'm not really too interested in reality TV but I've recently found something quiet unexpectedly amazing... Pawn Stars. I don't know what it is about watching two adults haggling over prices but I'm drawn to it.

Most of the time, people just get ripped off anyway. I can understand why the items only get pawned/sold for fractions of their worth but it's definitely something else to see some of these people take it laying down... on their back...

Anyway, today is my Friday. I have the day off tomorrow but I'm suddenly worried that I might have packed that day too full of plans. I'm definitely going to have to cancel on possibly someone and I really do feel bad because I HATE when people don't have it together when I have to be on the other end.

I really hope I can make it all work.

Hey yo update [16 Oct 2010|06:44pm]
An update from my phone will of course be kinda short unfortunately but I'd say an update is an update all the same. So what have I been doing these days?

I can easily breakdown that answer into a short list: work, World of Warcraft, Dexter, and Whuddleworld.

Those are easily the highlights and I have a bit of time to break them down further.

-there really isn't much to say about work really. Retail is just one big annual cycle and right now i'm just about to hit the Christmas holiday season which, yes, stretches this far out. There is currently a huge lack of man power here so I've been working regular 40 hour weeks. It's really taking a lot out of me.

-a huge update has just happened in the WoW side of things. The new patch just came out which means the new expansion is just around the corner. I can truely say the gameplay feels almost fresh, which has got me playing after work more these days.

-netflix has brought me the joy that is Dexter. I'm about mid season in season 3 right now and i'm still totally into it. The one thing that worries me is that it's totally becoming progressively more gory. I'm really not a fan of that kind of thing when I watch tv or movies. Even worse? I hear season 4 is gonna get nasty.

-I've been looking for fun social networking for a while now and I believe I've found it in Whuddleworld. It's totally my new Cyworld. There's nothing I love more than to come home to messages. I love receiving letters. I love cute things. This site really is fun for me.

Lol which reminds me. I REALLY want to try looking for a penpal again, even if it's a virtual penpal in Whuddleworld.

That was a lot of update. :D ♥

Web sites all around [21 Sep 2010|01:41pm]
On to season 5 of Weeds. It seems like a good time too because about now, Glee, The Office, and 30 Rock should be coming back on air.

I need to figure out if Modern Family comes online too. I'd love to start keeping up on that.

I'm currently still in the process of getting my computer set up. I've been going through different bookmarks on my other laptop, checking them out, and seeing if I could possibly want to use them on this little laptop here.

I amassed my Livejournal accounts and I think I'm to about 8? Only one being a very old rp account. I haven't included all of the rp accounts except for the 1 though.

What I really want to do is find some planning sites. Site that kinda let you schedule or plan for things that are free to use with the little netbook. I really can't be downloading and installing too much onto this little thing.

My hope is to get this tea party plan off the ground. I have lots of interest coming in but I'm not the best at keeping up with things or just plain old planning.

I'll have to keep my eyes open.

Noooooowwwwwww off to work.

Hopefully I can pick back up on those a-post-a-day memes soon.

A check in and St. Elmo's Fire [19 Sep 2010|01:45pm]
Livejournal.

Long time no see.

I'm writing from my new little mini notebook. It was pretty much my big impulse buy of the year. I saw an ad for a little mini computer and I went for it.

This thing is pretty nice. It will allow me to clean up my other computer and I can take this little guy to school for when I have to actually do work and I don't want to lug the monster around. The monster would be my bigger Toshiba laptop.

These days it pretty much work, work, and a bit more work. I get home and the last thing on my mind is to boot up that huge, slow laptop, and write on LJ.

I didn't even get half way through that meme I started. :/

I do plan on finishing it even if that is my only update.

As for something interesting, because I know people like interesting things.

The other day, I got about three quarters though St. Elmo's Fire. I had to cut it short because it was time to go to work but all I can say is this movie is strictly eye-candy.

Honestly, if the actors in this movie were any different, I wouldn't even look twice at it. The story itself seemed depressing and long. Oh god was it long.

I don't have huge experience with movies but it seems to me that whenever they try to follow too many people through a movie, you really kinda get let down. Either the story is too complicated or there's no real character development which is one of the main things you see here.

All in all, the movie was kind of a downer. BUT like I said, I didn't get an opportunity to finish the movie but if I were to guess, I'm thinking it was all a downhill roll anyway.

Another back to back spam attack.

Spam sounds balla right now. Fried spam on some bread with melted cheese and a fried egg?

That's a true breakfast sandwich right there. Maybe I should become tan and run away to Hawaii and get terrorized by the ethic groups.

Anyway, yesterday my grandparents came and said hi to me. I haven't really seen them in about 6 months or so. Both look older and have lost weight for sure. I gave them hugs and they almost seemed frail. How weird is that? I realize that they're getting older but I guess I just never noticed until now.

I also had them dumplings that my father made yesterday after work. Goddamnit. If food were legitly sexy, the dumplings would be on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

I totally shouldn't be shopping but this morning I checked my e-mail. I get an additional 30% off of Diesel sale items that were already at least 50% off. Sooooo... I bought a shirt and a belt. lol But I totally guessed my belt size. I guess the worst it could be is a little small but I think I did pretty well. We'll just have to wait and see.
